Previous Engagement & Communications
7Mile District Engagement:
Dec 11, 2024 | 7Mile Information Session (complete)
On December 11, 2024, the proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels Facility Project Team hosted an information session at the CLC Assembly Hall in the Red Brick Building. The session aimed to provide insights into the 7Mile Renewable Fuels Project, covering topics such as regulatory processes, environmental assessments, and project timelines. Two identical presentations were held to accommodate different schedules.
To encourage engagement, attendees were invited to RSVP and submit questions in advance, as no questions were taken during the event. Virtual participation was also available for those unable to attend in person. This event was well attended both in person and online.

Oct 8, 2024 | SEDC Open House (complete)

The Open House highlighted several key projects, including the 7Mile Master Plan (featuring the proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels project and 7Mile Rail), the Stswékstem Waste Management Facility, and Chief Louis Crossing (showcasing leasing opportunities, Sweláps Market, and the new community pharmacy). The event provided a great opportunity to learn about these exciting developments and was well attended.
