7Mile District Engagement:
May 26, 2025 | Proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels Facility (complete)
On May 26, 2025, TteS Membership were invited to a Special Information Session at MSG for the proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels Project. This session was open exclusively to TteS Members and focused on providing key information about the proposed project, including its national scope—highlighting that sites in Manitoba and Ontario are also being considered, with only one location moving forward. The evening featured a presentation from the project team, followed by a live Q&A session. Members attending in person and via livestream were able to ask questions and share their views.
April 8, 2025 | Proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels Facility (complete)
On April 8, 2025, TteS Membership and Staff were invited to a private engagement session at MSG to learn more about the proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels Facility. Two sessions were held, each featuring a 30-minute presentation followed by open discussion. The project team shared details about regulatory processes, environmental assessments, and expected community benefits, and addressed questions from members. The event created space for meaningful dialogue and allowed participants to raise additional questions, which will continue to be addressed online for transparency and follow-up. Thank you to all that attended.
Dec 11, 2024 | 7Mile Information Session (complete)
On December 11, 2024, the proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels Facility Project Team hosted an information session at the CLC Assembly Hall in the Red Brick Building. The session aimed to provide insights into the 7Mile Renewable Fuels Project, covering topics such as regulatory processes, environmental assessments, and project timelines. Two identical presentations were held to accommodate different schedules.
To encourage engagement, attendees were invited to RSVP and submit questions in advance, as no questions were taken during the event. Virtual participation was also available for those unable to attend in person. This event was well attended both in person and online.

Oct 8, 2024 | SEDC Open House (complete)
On October 8th, 2024, Sc.wén̓wen Economic Development Corp. hosted an Open House at Moccasin Square Garden. The event was open to the surrounding community, including Tḱemlúps te Secwépemc members, City of Kamloops residents, and local businesses.
The Open House highlighted several key projects, including the 7Mile Master Plan (featuring the proposed 7Mile Renewable Fuels project and 7Mile Rail), the Stswékstem Waste Management Facility, and Chief Louis Crossing (showcasing leasing opportunities, Sweláps Market, and the new community pharmacy). The event provided a great opportunity to learn about these exciting developments and was well attended.
